The Digital Manager is responsible for overseeing AJC’s digital web presence and email marketing communications, implementing data-driven solutions for optimizing AJC's web and email marketing communications, handling performance marketing reporting, proposing new and innovative ideas to improve AJC's digital strategy, and translating the Department's vision and needs into technical solutions. 
This is a temporary position for a period of approximately four to five months, beginning in October 2018.

Major Functions:
  • Implement A/B testing and other analytic initiatives in order to determine best practices in a host of marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to, conversion rates, email open rates, click through rates, website views, and more.
  • Oversee outside technology vendors and consultants tasked with day-to-day website and email maintenance.
  • Work closely with the IT Team to ensure coordination with new technology projects and issues that relate to AJC’s digital marketing systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of AJC’s current website, and any necessary staff training associated with AJC’s web presence.
  • Project manage the creation of additional AJC sites, as they move towards integration or redesign.
  • Work closely with the Graphics team to ensure digital adherence to AJC branding standards.

Specific Responsibilities:


  • Implement A/B testing and other analytic initiatives using Google Analytics, Excel, and IBM Watson Campaign Automation.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and campaign-related reports that chart key web and email statistics and meet with key members of the Marketing and Communications team to report on such analysis.

Website Maintenance and Email Oversight

  • Oversee a team of consultants who deliver day-to-day website and email support for AJC and its 22 Regional Offices across the United States.
  • Manage AJC’s website maintenance and new project implementation through Assembly and weekly project management meetings.
  • In coordination with the IT Department, direct website maintenance and new webpage and email development with a focus on user experience.
  • Troubleshoot website issues    
  • Provide support for editing and posting time-sensitive web content and sending high-priority emails.
  • In coordination with the IT Department, oversee the building of complex email queries in IBM Watson Campaign Automation.
  • Work with the Graphics team on choosing or creating graphics for web platforms that are mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready.
  • Monitor AJC emails to ensure adherence to branding standards.
  • Manage the creation and implementation of new email templates into AJC’s email marketing system.


·         Bachelor’s degree required

·         At least five years of experience in project management, start-ups, marketing, or communications required

·         Must be comfortable using HTML and CSS

·         Experience with IBM Watson Campaign Automation, Drupal, or Springboard a plus

·         Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator a plus
