In this position, you will provide service order coordination and operational support requested by varying PSU departments on campus, and will work closely with telecom coordinators to assist with order creation and provide technician/analyst support as required.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Four years of experience as an executive assistant, administrative analyst, researcher or administrative officer which included administrative duties, provision of technical assistance, or operations review. Two of the required years must have included administration or oversight of an on-going project or program.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration or a closely-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. There is no substitution for the two years of administrative experience.

  • Note: Preference may be given to individuals with experience in a specialty area specific to the position opening.

Additional Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management

  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management software

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to multitask and work well under tight deadlines

  • Must be results-oriented, a disciplined self-starter

  • Must have sound judgment, anticipatory skills, confidentiality, negotiation, problem-solving and customer service skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills

  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with structured cabling systems.

  • Experience in the telecommunications field.

  • Experience with telecom order management software.

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $22.12 and $33.89/hr with an excellent benefits package including 95% employer paid premiums (employees and eligible dependents) and significantly reduced tuition rates for employee and eligible dependents at any of the Oregon Public Universities. After completing six full months employees are eligible to choose between our two employer paid pension programs in addition to two voluntary retirement programs.
